The room is a cut above your usual chain hotels eg Travelodge or Premier Inn. Even the standard double room felt a bit more luxurious with quality joinery, curtains, bathroom. Bed was very comfy. There was a safe and a mini fridge with room for our own provisions. The usual hairdryer, proper ironing board and iron, kettle with tea/coffee supplies and Biscoff biscuits. Bathroom had a window for ventilation and quality joinery in the shelves. Bath and shower with rainfall and handheld spray. Box of tisses in addition to toiletries. We didn't have any meals or use the bar, so can't comment on those. But if you miss the hotel breakfast you have Costa and Greggs right outside the door and Greggs is open early. The location is right in the city centre so ideal for walking to and from a New Year's Eve event in a nearby club. It's a big hotel with a lot of rooms, so you're likely to find capacity. The staff were extremely welcoming, especially Maddie on reception when we checked in (she gave us a complimentary late checkout as it was new year) and the lady who was on night porter duty when we came back at 3.30am. We did hear a tiny bit of noise outside as it was new year, but it didn't stop us from sleeping soundly.

Location was great, right in the centre, but up the quieter end so away from the main strip of bars and clubs, but still only 5mins walk away, nothing is far away. Hotel exceeded our expectations, beds are really comfy, kettle with tea & coffee in the room, two small bottles of water, there is also a small fridge/cooler where the safe is. We had a room facing the back of the building, so although there was no view, this was fine as meant it was quiet. We had a Superior King room on the 2nd floor. Parking was a real bonus, we arrived around 2pm and were able to park, it is chargeable when you check in but cheaper than other car parks. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was an issue at 4am of our second night by other guests causing a great disturbance to anyone in the vicinity but the duty manager dealt with it swiftly. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choice. We will definitely return.

The location of hotel is in city center. Be convenient to go to shops, parks, train station. The public area has lemon water, quiet space which is a nice place to rest. The room is clean and has everything I need to stay. The staff are absolutely friendly and professional. I want to especially thanks Joanna. I want to stay one more day, but the room type I’m in sold out, which means I have to move to another room. Normally I have to check out and wait a couple of hours until the new room ready. When I was organizing my stuff with rush, Joanna contact me said a new room is ready, and just right besides my current room, and even help me delay check-out time so I have enough time to move. So convenient! It’s very luck that the hotel team has a member like her, give customers the best experience here.

The staff were all lovely and Maddie on reception was really friendly and helpful. Our room was really big and comfortable and we were offered a free upgrade to a larger room. The shower was hot and powerful -perfect for the cold weather! The location was really central for both Queen Street, St Mary's Street and the Castle. It is also only 5 minutes walk to Queen Street train station where there are frequent trains to Cardiff Bay (4 min journey). This saved us having to use our car to go to our theatre booking at the Millennium Theatre. The breakfast was really good, lots of choice and including fresh fruit. I would definitely stay again if coming to Cardiff

The hotel is located at an excellent spot near the Cardiff Museum and is surrounded by shops and food outlets and cafe all around. The check in experience was excellent and I immediately felt at home. The room was very spacious, with all necessary amenities like an electric kettle, iron and ironing board. The bed was very comfortable and helped the jet lagged me get excellent sleep. Similarly the front desk helped us check out in a minute and was very polite and courteous. Overall the hotel is an excellent property to stay at and I will definitely recommend it to all fellow travelers. Keep up the good work Leonardo team!
